GGGRUMPY GUY LABS

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 6, 2026

The short version. We keep what you type in so the app can show it back to you. We do not sell it, we do not show ads, we do not track you, and we never connect to your bank. You can export or delete all of it yourself.

1. Who we are

Grumpy Guy Labs LLC ("we", "us") makes The Ledger and this website. Questions about this policy go to admin@grumpyguylabs.com.

2. What we collect

3. What we do not collect

4. What we use it for

To run the app for you: to show your figures on your devices, keep backups, take payment for Pro, answer your messages, and fix what breaks. We do not use your financial entries for marketing, and we do not use them to train AI models.

5. Who else handles it

We do not sell or rent your data. A short list of companies process it on our behalf so the app can run:

To show market figures, our server asks public sources (such as Yahoo Finance, the Federal Reserve and the Bureau of Labor Statistics) for prices and rates. Those requests carry ticker symbols only. They do not carry your name, your email or your balances.

We may disclose data if the law requires it, or to a successor if the company is ever sold, under this same policy.

6. On your device

The Ledger keeps a copy of your data and your settings in your browser's local storage so it loads quickly, and a sign-in token so you stay signed in. We do not use advertising cookies.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account in the app (MANAGE, then DATA, then DELETE ACCOUNT), your ledger, your backups and your sign-in are erased from our database. Payment records stay with Stripe and RevenueCat as tax and accounting law requires.

8. Your choices

9. Security

Data travels over encrypted connections, and each account can read only its own records. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you.

10. Children

Our apps are for adults. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account. A parent may record a child's accounts inside the parent's own ledger.

11. Where it is processed

We are based in the United States, and your data is processed there.

12. Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date. For a change that matters, we will also tell you in the app or by email.
